The China Study

A little while ago, I was tired of my same old cd's driving from casting to casting. I was at the library and decided to get some books on cd. I remembered someone telling me that the book "skinny bitch" was a good one. My library had it, so I decided to see what it was all about. By the end of the book I couldn't bring myself to eat meat anymore. I also thought though, that being vegan would be too hard.  Then I started wondering, well, why would I just cut out meat? Why not everything that comes from animals?! So I started researching. And I ran across a video of T. Colin Campbell.(also Dr. Mcdougall, he's great too) and it was very, very interesting to say the least. I have found this video again. And I am posting the link for you. I am almost done reading Campell's book "the China Study." Also a video ..  link to video

I heart Michael Pollan

I've read his articles in National Geographic, watched some of his lectures online, and the wonderful documentary on PBS based on his book "The botany of Desire." Now I'm almost done reading his amazingly informative book entitled "The Omnivore's Dilemma." AND YOU SHOULD READ IT TOO!!! It follows four meals from the beginnings onto your plate. ....... Next up .. from him, for me, "In defense of food" This guy is amazing.
